Abstract

An inorganic compound, NaH~2~PO~2~, has been found to generate temporal chemical oscillations in Belousov–Zhabotinskii type reactions when it is substituted for the organic reducing material. Gaseous products were removed by a constant flow of nitrogen carrier gas. Periodic Br~2~ evolution was measured polarographically.
