✦ Synopsis
A pseudo-interdigital stepped impedance resonator (SIR) bandpass filter (BPF) using tapped I/O is designed and fabricated. By using a pseudo-interdigital structure and the SIR, the proposed BPF gains advantages of compactness and high selectivity. In this paper, the first and second spurious responses are shifted to higher than 3f 0 (the designed center frequency) due to the SIR effect and the effect of using the tapped I/O, and fast passband-edge attenuation is obtained as a result of the transmission zeros in the passband edge created by interstage coupling. The experimental results of the fabricated filter show good agreement with the simulation results.

## Abstract In this article, a compact bandpass filter is proposed for lower band (3.1–4.9 GHz) of ultra‐wideband applications. The filter is mainly composed of a pseudo‐interdigital wideband bandpass filter (PI‐WBF) and a multiple transmission‐zeros structure (MTZS), being a bandstop filter. By us
## Abstract A novel compact microstrip dual‐band bandpass filter (BPF) is developed with remarkably improved stopband characteristics. Two‐square open‐loop resonators are embedded in a U‐shaped resonator to achieve a significant size reduction of the filter. Meanwhile, a cross‐coupling between nona
## Abstract In this article, we propose a dual‐mode bandpass filter (BPF) at 1.575 GHz using periodic meander slotted ground structures (M‐SGSs) which are etched on the ground plane for spurious suppression. First, single M‐SGS is analyzed. Second, the M‐SGSs are used to provide a good stopband‐rej
## Abstract In this letter, a novel compact wideband bandpass filter (BPF) using single asymmetric stepped‐impedance resonator with one‐step discontinuity is designed and fabricated. The first two resonant modes of the asymmetric SIR are coupled together and applied to create a wide passband. The p
