✦ Synopsis
Abstract
A novel double‐layer patch array antenna is presented. The proposed antenna consists of two identical parallel layers, each containing five patch elements. The antenna is fed through one of the elements in the lower layer while other elements act as parasitic antenna elements. Both simulated and experimental results show that the proposed antenna has a relatively high gain, low side‐lobes, and improved cross polarization. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract A compact printed monopole antenna for WLAN and WiMAX applications is proposed. By combining symmetrical G‐shaped strips and a coupling‐fed plate, fed by a 50 Ω microstrip transmission line, wide impedance bandwidths covering WLAN/2.4/5.2 and WiMAX/5.75 are achieved. The omnidirectional
## Abstract In this article, we present a novel circular disc antenna for current and future ultrawideband (UWB) applications. The proposed antenna has a small size of 30 mm × 35 mm, a simple geometry, and the excitation is launched through a 50‐Ω microstrip feed line. The impedance matching of the
A new type of dual-port, dual-frequency printed antenna is described. Its main characteristics are a relati¨ely wide bandwidth, high isolation between ports, and simple construction, together with good radiation properties. As an example of an application, a DECTqDCS 1800rWLAN antenna has been reali
