β¦ Synopsis
A wideband pentagon-slot microstrip antenna with a semicircle probe feed is proposed. The broadband characteristic is achieved by cutting a pentagon slot at each corners of the patch. The proposed antenna is able to achieve an impedance bandwidth of 68.3% for a VSWR of less than 2. Experimental comparison with a similar-size retangular microstrip patch antenna has also been conducted in this paper.

A no¨el microstrip-fed slot-coupled dual-stacked self-complementary patch antenna is designed and presented. Measured results show that the impedance bandwidth of the self-complementary patch antenna is wider than a con¨entional microstrip-fed slot-coupled dualstacked patch antenna. Radiation patter
## Abstract A new broadband probeβfed patch antenna is proposed. We demonstrate that, by feeding an airβsubstrate patch antenna at the patch edge using a probe feed coplanar with the radiating patch, broadband operation can easily be obtained. Also, for the use of the proposed coplanar probeβfeed d
## Abstract This paper presents a novel broadband design of a probeβfed patch antenna, and a constructed prototype suitable for applications in a DCS (1710β1880 MHz) cellular system base station is demonstrated. The proposed antenna has a thick air substrate for broadband operation, and is fed by a
