The cacity-model rolutwn of the input impedance of a slot-coupled cylindrical-circular microstrip patch antenna is presented. The theoretical results are compared with measurements, and the accuracy of the cavity-model analysis is discussed. Effects of the cylinder size and the coupling slot length

✦ Synopsis
A no¨el microstrip-fed slot-coupled dual-stacked self-complementary patch antenna is designed and presented. Measured results show that the impedance bandwidth of the self-complementary patch antenna is wider than a con¨entional microstrip-fed slot-coupled dualstacked patch antenna. Radiation patterns show front-to-back ratios of better then 20 dB and low cross-polarization le¨els for the self-complementary patch antenna as compared to the con¨entional patch antenna.
