✦ Synopsis
In the molecule of the title compound, C 17 H 16 Br 2 N 2 , the 4,10bromo-2,8-dimethyl analogue of Tro ¨ger's base, the two aryl rings are offset with respect to one another by virtue of the diazocine bridge. There are two crystallographically independent molecules in the unit cell and both of these have a dihedral angle of 95.4 (1) between the two aryl rings.
