In the title compound, C 30 H 24 ClNO 3 S, the phenylsulfonyl, chlorophenyl and methoxyphenyl rings are each almost perpendicular to the indole ring system. The crystal packing shows centrosymmetrically related pairs of molecules. Intermolecular C-HÁ Á ÁO interactions are present.
