✦ Synopsis
The title compound, C~11~H~10~N~2~O, a potential antitumour drug, crystallizes with two molecules in the asymmetric unit. The 4-amino N atom is strongly conjugated with the quinoline ring involving the 3-carbonyl group. As a result, the molecule is almost planar. The amino group is involved in both intramolecular N—H...O and intermolecular N—H...N hydrogen bonds.
