✦ Synopsis


The first 1,2-azaphosphindoles 14a,b, 15a,b were obtained in a straightforward manner upon heating diphenylzirconocene in the presence of a cyanophosphane, which afforded azazirconacyclopentenes 11a,b which can be reacted with various dichlorophosphanes. The use of the tetrachlorodiphosphane Cl 2 P(CH 2 ) 2 PCl 2 instead of a dichlorophosphane allowed the Scheme 1. Synthesis of 2H-1,2-azaphosphole tungsten complexes 8
