✦ Synopsis

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C 10 H 9 Br 2 NO, consists of two molecules. In both molecules, the benzene and cyclopropyl rings are nearly perpendicular, with dihedral angles of 85.8 (4) and 75.5 (4) . In the crystal structure, there are no obviously short intermolecular contacts. Each molecule has an intramolecular O-HÁ Á ÁN hydrogen bond.
