The title compound, C 10 H 9 NO 2 S, was prepared from a condensation reaction of benzoyl chloride and thiazolidin-2one. The average CÐN bond length to carbonyl groups is 1.393 (2) A Ê , which is longer then the CÐN bond length of a typical acylamine group.
