## Abstract ^195^Pt NMR data are reported for a series of (η^5^‐cyclopentadienyl)trialkylplatinum(IV) complexes. Chemical shift differences are rationalized primarily on the basis of substituent electronic properties. Changes in solvent produce relatively modest changes in chemical shift, and the d

## Abstract Various platinum complexes have been studied by ^195^Pt FT NMR. Long range __J__(^31^P^195^Pt) and __J__(^195^Pt^195^Pt) are observed in dinuclear complexes. The value of ^1^__J__(^31^P^195^Pt) in monomeric and dimeric complexes is shown to depend mainly upon the Pt—P bond length.
