✦ Synopsis
In the structure of the title complex, [CuI(C 12 H 8 N 2 )-{Ph 2 PCH 2 CH 2 P(O)Ph 2 }]ÁCH 2 Cl 2 , the coordination polyhedron with copper as the central atom has a distorted tetrahedral geometry formed by two N atoms from 1,10phenanthroline, one iodide anion and one P atom from 1-(diphenylphosphino)-2-(diphenylphosphinoyl)ethane.
