✦ Synopsis

In the title compound, C 20 H 14 Cl 2 N 2 , the dihedral angles formed by the benzimidazole ring with the benzene rings of the 4-chlorobenzyl and the 4-chlorophenyl groups are 88.15 (8) and 33.4 (1) , respectively. The molecules are linked by C-HÁ Á ÁCl hydrogen bonds, forming a C(12) chain along the [010] direction.
