✦ Synopsis

The reactions of acylsilanes with N-(phenylthio)succinimide in the presence of p-toluenesulfonic acid in acetonitrile give α-sulfenylated acylsilanes in good yields. Aldehydes with α-alkyl substituent afford moderate yields of α-sulfenylated products under the same conditions.
