Abstract

cis‐2‐[2‐Methylprop‐1‐ene]‐yl‐4‐methyl‐tetrahydropyran and cis‐2‐[2‐methyl‐prop‐2‐ene]‐yl‐4‐methyl‐tetrahydropyran have been obtained from the mixture resulting from dehydration of 2‐hydroxy‐4,8‐epoxy‐2,6‐dimethyl‐octan. Their IR. and NMR. spectra are described.
