## Abstract Only the bioactivity of yojironin A (Ia) is investigated: antimicrobial and cytotoxic effects are observed.
Four new prenylated acylphloroglucinols, petiolins JÀM (1À4), were isolated from aerial parts of Hypericum pseudopetiolatum var. kiusianum, and the structures were elucidated by spectroscopic data and a single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Petiolin J (1) exhibited antimicrobial activity.
## Abstract Petiolins J (I) and K (II) are novel optically inactive prenylated acylphloroglucinols possessing a methyl group on phloroglucinol moiety of chromane and citran skeleton, respectively.
