β¦ Synopsis
Low coverage adsorption of antimony on the silicon (1 1 3) surface is investigated by X-ray standing waves. The measurements in three non-collinear Bragg geometries yield a dominant single adsorption site which is compatible to an antimony-adatom site. The coordinates of this site are determined with high precision and the strain induced on the Si substrate surface is discussed.
