The age of freedom is gone, usurped by the age of comfort, peace, and stability. The Regime of the Guardian has wiped out free will, finally creating a world where mankind can be happy. Advances in technology make controlling the masses as simple as granting entertainment in exchange for absolute surveillance. Society has broken down into a perfectly engineered system--there is a place for everyone, a preordained purpose so long as you're willing to accept it. But like a parent with spoiled children, the Guardian and her subjects do not always see eye to eye.
