β¦ Synopsis
The age of freedom is gone, usurped by the age of comfort, peace, and stability. The Regime of the Guardian has virtually wiped out free will, finally creating a world where mankind can be happy. The capabilities of technology make controlling the masses simple, as simple as granting entertainment in exchange for absolute surveillance. Society has been broken down into a perfectly engineered system; there is a place for everyone, a preordained purpose so long as you're willing to accept it. But like a parent with spoiled children, the Guardian and her subjects do not always see eye to eye. There are still those so desperate to cling to their individuality, they are willing risk everything for it. **
About the Author
P.L. Camery's fascination with fantasy and adventure began in childhood, when she would immerse herself in the stories she lovedβalmost feeling as though she were a character within them, and sometimes writing her own versions of the original works. Growing up, her stories stayed with her, keeping her awake at night as she imagined different scenes. She wrote her first story in middle school, and the encouragement she received inspired her to keep writing. Now a sophomore in graduate school, pursuing a profession in Materials Science and Engineering, she continues to write and rewrite her stories in hopes that readers will have as much fun with them as she does.
