O n the other hund, reactioii of-2 with henzoylmethylenetriphenylphosphoraiie (lc) proceeded only at high temperature, vielding 7c arid 10. Mechunisms accounting for the fbrniution of. the adducts ure discussed, and the synthetic utilitv of' the products were tested.
