Decision

support systems (DSSs) are increasingly used in decision-making.

DSSs usually contain a huge amount of information, most of it classified. Decision-makers use this information as a basis when making decisions, some ofwhich are crucial for the survival of the company The information has to be reliable otherwise it can have disastrous effects on the company Datawarehousing can be seen as a tool in a DSS. With datawarehousing we want to find crucial data for functioning as support in our decision-making.

The information in a DSS should not be threatened, lost or misused. What about the information security risks in decision support systems? Can we protect ourselves against the information security risks connected to DSSs and datawarehousing?
