โฆ Synopsis
WET-PROCESS enamelling of cast iron is becoming of importance because of its application to the enamelling of stove parts, sanitary fittings, and hardware. This paper is a report of an extended investigation of wet-process enamels for cast iron, both with and without the use of ground coat. Compositions used in dry-process enamelling have served as a basis for the work. The effect of varying methods for preparation of the frits, mill additions, and relation of composition of the enamel to such properties as adherence, texture, and opacity have been carefully studied.

In the paper a certain algorithm of solidification process numerical modelling is presented. In particular, the iron casting solidifying in typical moulding sand is considered. Proposed numerical model allows to take into account the specific features of cast iron solidification (the process proceed
