Existence and uniqueness of weak solutions are shown for different models of the dynamic behavior of elastomers. The models are based on a nonlinear stressstrain relationship (satisfying a locally Lipschitz and affine domination property) and incorporate hysteretic effects as well. The results provi

✦ Synopsis
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to study shape memory alloys which admit two shape memory effect. This effect results from progressive modification of the admissible mixture of martensites and austenite. The predictive theory of this education phenomenon has been developed by Frémond. We discuss the education model of Frémond and establish the solvability and uniqueness results. ## Abstract We prove local and global well‐posedness for the FENE dumbbell model for a very general class of potentials. Indeed, in prior local or global well‐posedness results, conditions on the strength of the singularity (or on the parameter __b__) were made. Here we give a proof in the general

## Abstract An isothermal finite element method (FEM) model has been applied to study the behavior of two kinds of shape memory alloy (SMA) composites. For SMA‐fiber reinforced normal metal composites, the FEM analysis shows that the mechanical behavior of the composites depends on the SMA volume f
