β¦ Synopsis
Several types of copolymers containing poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) combined with polybuladiene, polystyrene, poly(ethyl acrylate), poly(butyl acrylate), propylene oxide or allyl glycolyl ether were investigated by wide angle X-ray scattering (WAXS). Two kinds of crystallinities, apparent and substantial, were calculated using a general method established previously. The results showed that the crystallinities in the PEO-containing copolymers were considerably affected by copolymer composition, molecular weight of PEO component, nature of the co-units and the types of copolymerization.
