## Abstract The preparation and spectroscopic properties of new dipyrido[3,2‐__a__:2′,3′‐__c__]phenazine ruthenium complexes are described. The complexes show high catalytic activity in the water gas shift reaction in a basic medium under mild conditions (__P__~CO~ = 0.9 atm at 100 °C). Copyright ©
