From Brazilian Phoebe oil (essential oil of Phoebe porosa Mez. syn. Oreodaphne porosa Mez.) over 100 constituents could be identified by 'H-NMR spectra and GC-MS. The main constituents are carquejyl acetate (24,2.1 YO), the sesquiterpenes a-copaene (29,5.6%), y-(56,3.5%), and 6-cadinene (59,3.1 YO),
