✦ Synopsis

Thc distribution of ribonuclease in the different extracts of liver granules has been studied. The authors show that this enzyme is hound with inartivation to some cwnstituents of these granules and that wits and sulfuric acid are able to dissociate the cwmplex formed. On the other hand, the action of water arid of the mixer, also the inhibitory power of the supernatant are indications that the inactive eomplex (.an be dispersed in solution. In order t o expla.in the f a d s which have been observed, it was neecessary t o suppose that sucrose has a stabilizing effect on the fractions of small particular dimensions. The authors (:all the attention 011 the danger of establishing a distribut, ion of an enzyme in the granules if these granules have not undergone a deep tlesagqregation before thc enzymatic test,.
