Abstract

The influence of linear vibronic coupling on a charge carrier generation resulting from exciton‐exciton scattering is investigated. It is shown that the possibility of dissociation of two excitons into an electron and a hole exists with simultaneous creation of intramolecular phonons. The probability of these processes increases with temperature with an activation energy equal to the intramolecular vibrational quantum. The case of anthracene crystal is discussed.
