A principle describing the effect of exciton bandwidths on the intensity of phonon sidebands in electronic spectra of molecular crystals is derived from some experimental observations, from some simple arguments, and from l &e quantum theory of electron-phonon coupling.
## New operators representing muted exciton-phonon particles are introduced, enabling the linear coupling harmltoman for molecular crystals to be diagonalized within a basis of zero-phonon evcitons and one-and two-phonon additions.
## Abstract The influence of linear vibronic coupling on a charge carrier generation resulting from exciton‐exciton scattering is investigated. It is shown that the possibility of dissociation of two excitons into an electron and a hole exists with simultaneous creation of intramolecular phonons. T
