✦ Synopsis
The infrared and Raman spectra of were recorded and assigned on the basis of its structural charac-Nd 2 CuGe 2 O 8 teristics. The study was complemented with an analysis of the infrared spectra of other germanates of the same type containing di †erent lanthanide cations (Sm-Tm) and yttrium, and by comparison with related materials.
