โœฆ Synopsis

Vibrational coherence recently observed by Vos et al. has been analyzed to determine the rate of vibrational relaxation involved in the primary electron transfer (ET) in reaction centers. A modified ET model is introduced to determine multi-mode effects and the temperature dependence of ET for a series of Rb. capsulatus mutants.

The spin-correlated radical pair [P+'Q~'] in protonated zinc replaced reaction centers of Rb. sphaeroides R26 is studied using electron spin echo spectroscopy. Applying a (flash-t-pulse 1-T-pulse 2-T) pulse sequence, it was found that the shape of the echo at T = ~-is influenced markedly by the dela
