✦ Synopsis
The micro crystalline hnninescence spectrum of [ ReC& 1 2doped in !&[SnC16] and Kz[PtC&] due to the i' ,(*T+ t&) + rs("Aza, t&j transition has been measured at liquid nitrogen temperature. The bands are assigned to internal complex and lattice vibrational modes using also fu IR and Raman data. A pair of bands located at zero phonon position and a couple of satellite bands near fundamental peaks indicate that the electronic gound state is split into two Kramers doublets by about 10 cm-' due to 3 second order Jihn-Teller distortion.
