Es wird eine neue Synthese des Irons beschrieben, welche statt von 2,3‐Dimethyl‐hepten‐(2)‐on‐(6) von dem isomeren, durch Abbau von Thujon erhältlichen 2‐Methyl‐3‐methylen‐heptanon‐(6) ausgeht.

## Abstract Es wurde gezeigt, dass sich mit Hilfe gewisser Infrarot‐Frequenzen der Gehalt des natürlichen Irons an der γ‐Form recht genau ausrechnen lässt. Dieser Methode kommt eine allgemeine Bedeutung zu in allen ähnlichen Fällen, wo wenigstens eine Komponente eines zu analysierenden Gemisches in
