Let F be a real quadratic field and m an integral ideal of F. Two Stark units, Ξ΅ m,1 and Ξ΅ m,2 , are conjectured to exist corresponding to the two different embeddings of F into R. We define new ray class invariants U (1) m (C + ) and U (2) m (C + ) associated to each class C + of the narrow ray c

β¦ Synopsis
We calculate basic values of the double sine function. The algebraicity for some special values is proved. Its behavior in the fundamental domain is also studied. Especially we show that it has just two extremes: one relative maximum and one relative minimum. Asymptotic formulas for these extremal values are proved.
