โœฆ Synopsis

Apart from its crucial role in the atmosphere, particularly in filtering solar radiation in the UV wavelength region by absorption in the well known Hartley and Huggins bands, ozone attracts spectroscopic interest regarding the interpretation of these bands. From the results of previous measurements in our laboratory, we have investigated the structures of the Hartley system for two isotopes (160 3 and ISO3). This analysis allows us to propose an absolute assignment and to give two sets of vibrational parameters for the excited electronic state of the two species,

The gas-phase electronic absorption spectrum of methyl nitrite (CH3ONO) in the near-UV has been re-examined. Both temperature dependence and comparison of the vibrational structure with nitrous acid (HONO) and tertiary-butyl nitrite (t-BuONO) show that syn-anti isomerism leads to two shifted, overla

Isotope effects on NMR indirect nuclear spin-spin coupling constants (SSCC) are less frequently studied than the corresponding effects on chemical shifts. Nevertheless, unusual effects have been observed for them and still lack a satisfying explanation. Raynes and co-workers measured the temperatu
