โœฆ Synopsis

In recent papers, Johnson and Kotz (Amer. Statist. 44, 245-249 (1990); Math. Sci. 15, 42-52 (1990)) have explored the utility of moment calculations as a simple way of establishing distributional forms. In particular a characterization theorem for beta distributions has been proved. In this paper these methods are extended to multivariate problems, and a result is established for Dirichlet distributions. (i) 1993 Academic Press, Inc.

## Abstract A gamma distribution is one of the most frequently selected distribution types for hydrological frequency analysis. The bivariate gamma distribution with gamma marginals may be useful for analysing multivariate hydrological events. This study investigates the applicability of a bivariat

Data for prognostic factors in angiosarcoma (AS) are limited, prompting a large-scale study of AS with multivariate analysis. To analyze prognostic factors in angiosarcoma (AS), clinical and histologic findings in 55 patients collected from hospitals in Japan were reviewed. Prognostic factors were e
