The effects of gallanilide on action potentials were studied in swine ventricular muscles, Purkinje fibers, and guinea pig papillary muscles by conventional microelectrode techniques. Gallanilide (l-l0 µM) prolonged the action potential duration (APD) and effective refractory period (ERP) in ventric
