โœฆ Synopsis

US fuel cell bus initiative

A broad-based industry coalition of key hydrogen and fuel cell bus users and suppliers in the US has launched the National Fuel Cell Bus Technology Initiative. The NFCBTI aims to create a targeted, multi-year program to develop, deploy and commercialize clean, fuel cell and hydrogenpowered drive systems for transit use.

North American transportation technologies consortium WestStart-Calstart is coordinating the NFCBTI, envisaged as a six-year, $150m industry-government development effort to address the commercialization challenges of fuel cell and hydrogen vehicle technology.
