✦ Synopsis

Magnetic susceptibility x(T), magnetization M(B) and electrical resistivity p(T) of the diluted Kondo system Ce~ x(La0.63Y0.37)xRu2Si2, (0~<x ~< 1), have been studied in detail. The disappearance of metamagnetism at x-0.2 coincides with the destruction of coherent scattering in p(T). In the dilute limit, a continuous increase of x(T) on cooling down to 2 K is observed. Such a variation can be calculated assuming a distribution of the Kondo temperatures, which could result from local density fluctuations.
