A simple and rapid method for characterizing the polymorphism at the HLA-DPB1 locus has been developed. The procedure involves the selective amplification of the polymorphic second exon of the DPB1 locus by the polymerase chain reaction (PCR), followed by hybridization of the amplified DNA with 15 n
