A new simpler solution procedure is presented for the finite element analysis of creep problems. The creep strains are eliminated as computation variables. At each time step, a system is solved for the stresses and velocities alone.

A finite-difference procedure which requires the use of ¨irtual and duplicate nodes is presented. This procedure incorporates the Neumann and Dirichlet boundary conditions into the two-dimensional Helmholtz equation. Comparisons made with analytic solutions for wa¨eguide modes indicate that robust s

An improved method for emission spectrometric determination of 15N content with a small amount of nitrogen (2 pg, minimum) is described. Ammonium nitrogen and organic nitrogen are converted to N, gas by the method of Rittenberg and by the method of Dumas, respectively. The N, gas is purified, introd
