โฆ Synopsis
United Defense, Battelle demonstrate prototype APU for army vehicle I n the US, Battelle and United Defense Industries have joined forces to develop and demonstrate a prototype fuel cell auxiliary power unit (APU) on a Bradley Fighting Vehicle. The APU is designed to increase vehicle fuel efficiency and so reduce the logistics burden for the US Army. The technology was demonstrated at a recent US Army symposium in Florida.
The APU system is designed to provide sufficient power to operate the vehicle's electronics indefinitely without engaging the main engine.
