โœฆ Synopsis

completely charged in under 10 min, representing a dramatic improvement over current industry norms. This is the third in a series of US Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) pilot projects to demonstrate the economic, operational and environmental benefits of powering material handling equipment with fuel cells. The projects intend to build a strong infrastructure for hydrogen delivery and refueling, while collecting the necessary data for a business case analysis.

## Abstract Primary energy savings and CO~2~ reduction is one of the key motivations for the use of fuel cell systems in the energy sector. A benchmark of domestic cogeneration by PEMFC with existing large scale power production systems such as combined steamโ€gas turbine cycle, clearly reveals that

A three-dimensional, steady state, single phase model is developed to study the mass and charge transfer within a proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell. A single set of conservation equations is used for all PEM fuel cell layers and the governing equations are solved numerically using a finite-vo
