Two new secolignans, {(3__S__,4__S__)‐4‐[bis(4‐hydroxy‐3‐methoxyphenyl)methyl]‐2‐oxotetrahydrofuran‐3‐yl}methyl β‐D‐glucopyranoside (1) and its stereoisomer {(3__S__,4__R__)‐4‐[bis(4‐hydroxy‐3‐methoxyphenyl)methyl]‐2‐oxotetrahydrofuran‐3‐yl}methyl β‐D‐glucopyranoside (2), have been isolated from the roots of Urtica fissa E. Pritz. Their structures were determined based on spectroscopic methods (HR‐MS, 1D‐ and 2D‐NMR, HMBC, HSQC, and NOESY).
