Abstract
Twoโdimensional NMR spectroscopic studies (HECTOR and NOESY) have confirmed that the copolymer of diethyl diallylmalonate with sulfur dioxide consists predominately of cisโlinked cyclopentane rings. When the cyclopolymerization is carried out at 81ยฐC in acetonitrile, the ratio of cis to trans linkages is 4.3 : 1. ยฉ 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Appl Polym Sci 91: 3477โ3480, 2004

British anti-lewisite (2,3-dimercaptopropanol) (BAL) has long been used as an arsenic antidote, but its therapeutic efficacy is limited by its inherent toxicity. Two less toxic potential replacements for BAL are dimercaptosuccinic acid and dimercaptopropanesulfonic acid. These two disulfhydryl compo
