Abstract
Fetal intra‐abdominal umbilical vein varix is a rare condition characterized by focal dilatation of the umbilical vein of the fetus. We report a case of fetal intra‐abdominal umbilical vein varix associated with additional sonographic abnormalities and detected at 31 weeks' gestation. Several follow‐up sonographic examinations were performed, and the prenatal findings were confirmed on postnatal ultrasound. The diagnosis was facilitated by the use of three‐dimensional power Doppler sonography. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Clin Ultrasound, 2012;
