โฆ Synopsis
The turbulence problem is posed: find a model of the standard dynamic system that has predictive capability on its future state. The standard dynamic system has three phases: (1) evolution from order to chaos, (2) transitional phase of chaos and (3) evolution from chaos to order. The solution is the theory of turbulence. A new tool is required to solve the problem: qualitative mathematics.

We report on experimental and theoretical findings of front destabilization that causes spontaneous spiral-vortex nucleation and produces a state of spatio-temporal disorder. The experiments were carried out on an oscillatory photosensitive Belousov-Zhabotinsky reaction that is periodically forced i
This paper is concerned with the problems of hydrodynamics of helium in the presence of a vortex tangle (VT). The problem of deducing the full set of equations is considered. A number of examples of the application of these equations to many problems concerning the interaction of the vortex tangle w
