✦ Synopsis

The strict regiospecificlty of the labelling In some monotritiated glucoses, available commercially as aqueous 3 solutions, Is demonstrated by H n.m.r. spectroecopy. After storage there may however sometimes be label also present in the water or as non-gluoore impurity. Internally referenced chemical rhifts for D-glucopyranoee in dilute rolution in D20 at 2SoC are provided for the first time.

## Abstract Small discrepancies between ^3^H and ^1^H chemical shifts in organic compounds led to the finding that the ratio of Larmor frequencies Ο‰~T~/Ο‰~H~ depends on the carbon‐hydrogen bond hybridisation. The β€˜best’ ratio for ghost referencing of ^3^H NMR spectra was then determined from measure
