β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
Metalβcatalysed exchange with tritiated water and tritium gas has been extensively used to prepare a wide range of tritiumβlabelled compounds in support of pharmaceutical research. Examples of the utility of both heterogeneous and homogeneous metal catalysts to label a very broad range of structures will be discussed in this review. Copyright Β© 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

## Abstract Metalβcatalysed exchange has been used extensively in the laboratories of AstraZeneca plc at R&D Charnwood to label a variety of molecules of pharmaceutical interest with the isotopes of deuterium and tritium. Despite early prejudices against the use of tritiated compounds, particularly
A large body of organic compounds containing carbon-hydrogen bonds have very feeble acidic properties. In order that these compounds be made to ionise it is necessary to employ highly basic media. Recent developments now result in the use of several such systems, some of which can serve as a conveni
## Abstract The hydrogen isotope exchange of BrefeldinβA with tritium gas (T~2~) in 1,4βdioxane was studied over a commercial palladium catalyst supported on diatomaceous earth (5% metallic weight). The effect of the gas phase was studied. Addition of air in the gas phase led to an increase of the
Benzimidazole carbamates (BZCs) act as inhibitors of the tubulin-microtubule equilibria in eukaryotic organisms. Recently drug resistance to this class of compounds in helminth parasites has been shown to be due to a reduced ability of resistant tubulin to bind BZCs. In order to quantitate the natur
